How do you compare two social media sites?

I’m trying to figure out how to do this case?

Last night I went through about 100 social media sites and narrowed my choices to two:

Scribd.com

and

Delicious.com

Next step: compare the two sights through its features, functionality and community and write out a comparison chart.

I have no idea how to do this!

Any ideas are welcome!

  1. Caroline – if you aren’t familiar with the medium, consider starting with the basics: what do you notice about layout? design? how do you move through (click) the sites? what might that say about the audience for each? wired.com and techcrunch.com often have good articles about websites’ business models and successes if you’re looking for objective input.

    • Hello Meghan
      I really appreciate your input.
I actually have a blog that I have been writing on for about 3 years (it’s actually on complete hiatus right now as we are revamping the site into being a website). I starting writing that blog as a fun activity to get me writing. Never as something that I could make a living out of it. But now here we are…
With this blog, I thought it would be interesting to journal my progress throughout this class. Get some info and have, among other people, my classmates and other curious minds comment on what I write.
I will check the sites you’re talking about. Always fun.
